Riccardo Ciullo

Managing Director

Riccardo Ciullo has nearly 15 years of specialized experience in European Trademark & Designs Law with direct experience working for two of the most respected intellectual property law firms in the world. After completing his Italian law degree, with a focus on European Trademark & Design in Alicante, the heart of the IP world in Europe, Mr. Ciullo interned in New York, developing a strong interest in the United States IP legal structure. He developed the framework for the legal department for an investigation services firm based in Manhattan that serves the financial, corporate and legal communities worldwide.

In the fall of 2005, he returned to Italy to practice Italian law before being selected by the Italian Ministry of foreign affairs to work as an IP consultant in Geneva at the Italian Mission to the United Nations and WTO. During this three-month project, he attended WIPO and WTO international negotiations representing Italy while reporting to the Italian delegate for IP matters. This specialized knowledge in developing the regulatory framework for international IP law positions Mr. Ciullo as a tremendous asset to his clients.

He followed his experience in Geneva by pursuing continued education at the internationally esteemed University of Alicante, obtaining an LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Society Law. In 2008, Baker & McKenzie recruited him to join their office in Barcelona to co-chair the IP Prosecution department.

Prior to starting IP Wisely, Riccardo established the IP/IT department of a multi-disciplinary firm in Barcelona, Intlaw Asesores Legales, where currently still holds the title of IP/IT Director. The knowledge derived from years working with some of the largest intellectual property firms in the world has provided him with a solid framework from which to structure his new firm and provide efficient advice to his clients.

Mr. Ciullo is an attorney admitted to practice in Spain. He is member of the Data Protection and the Indigenous Rights Commitee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), member of the Executive Licensing Society (LES), of the Barcelona Bar Association, Professor of the Master in Executive Compliance organized by the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economia (ISDE) and the Deputy President of the Fordham School of Law ex-alumni European Chapter.
